Good priceGreat inexpensive watch that can be used for casual or fancier occasions. I will be wearing for years.Casio it’s the best watch for me.i love all types of watches but have a soft spot for the cheapos and retros. the kind i saw as a kid and could never get my hands on. this is a great little ani digi. just wish i had the same eye strength as i did as a kid. harder for me to read but the white face helps. i change my watch bands fairly regularly but the one it comes with is totally fine. a great value for someone who doesnt need an expensive showy watch. and they seem to last forever. The watch is so light you hardly know you have it on-unlike most of these heavy watches that are everywhere in the marketplace. The strap is not very easy to latch however. That could use a redesign.Bought to replace a similar one that was damaged when an incompetent shop replaced the battery. The price is low enough that it's comparable with the cost of battery replacement, so when necessary, I'll put the new one in myself for a dollar or so, and take the minor chance that I might mess it up.I find the controls easy to understand and work. It's easy to set the alarm and digital time, and I appreciate the ability to keep UK and Florida time accessible at once. The analog hands have to be stepped forward, which is a bit of a nuisance when reverting to daylight-wasting time in the fall, but the stepping is pretty fast when required (and very precise for the final bit). You wouldn't buy this as a dressy watch, but it's not unattractive, works well, provides an excellent range of functions, and is accurate and robust, for a very attractive price. This Contact between hands and face could be greater.Update, decided to return it as despite trying several methods the date would not change at midnight rather than midday (also set the american way with month first). Probably could have taken the battery out and left it for 12 hours but was not going to chance warranty problems by taking the back cover off.Bought the stainless steel version of this watch for 17 quid from Amazon. Nice looking and sits well on the wrist. The strap is relatively easy to adjust but I did find it a touch fiddly to snap the watch into place but this disappears with use. The small LCD screen is very hard to read, I use it for the date which is set up for Americans - month then day - rather than Brits and you may have to reset the time to get it to click over at midnight rather than midday... it comes with a tiny print manual to match the LCD but it is fairly easy to work without reading the manual, though the right-hand button is resistant to pressing fully home to set the time as you have to avoid pressing the buttons on the other side, a ball point pen does help. Would have been five stars if it came with a light and easier to read LCD screen but at this price will keep it.The hands are silver so difficult to see in poor light against the white background. Also the hands are similar in size with the hour hand nearly the same length as the minute hand. This makes it difficult to tell the time in poor light at the 12 and 6 if you only need to use reading glasses to read text.. E.g., is it 5 past 12 or one o'clock? It takes ages to set the 12-hour analog time because the hands move very slowly. Otherwise, it is the usual good Casio watch. You can adjust the length of the strap by using a screw driver to lift and loosen the part of the mechanism that the clip fixes to. Slide it to the length you want the strap to be and re-engage its fixing mechanism. Make sure that you engage the hook before closing the clip.I had a similar looking Casio watch about 30 years ago, and I bought this for my wife. Appearance is quite nice. Now for the bad part. Casio appears to have really cut corners on this watch. The original watch had a stainless steel bezel with a crystal glass. This one has a plastic bezel which looks like steel, and a plastic glass. The original watch had a lithium battery with seven years life. This appears to use a normal battery which will need replacement after a year. The original watch had a calendar programmed for about 50 years. This does not appear to have such a facility. The original watch had a number of functions. This appears to have very few functions. There is no light function on this watch as compared to the original watch which had this function. To summarise, this is a cheap watch. I am disappointed with Casio for having resorted to such unacceptable cost cutting.I am giving it three stars, only because it looks good, and my wife likes it.I really like this watch. It's actually the second one I've bought ( the first was bought from a high street shop in the USA and caused me no problems until it was mislaid in a hotel somewhere ).I work in theatre backstage and it is useful to have a digital stopwatch on my person as part of the job as well as knowing the time at any moment. This does the job rather elegantly - it doesn't look out of place at a soiree, and is robust enough to fit with workwear. I went out of my way to find this model when I needed to replace the lost one. I had that about 6 years, and replaced the battery once, about 4 years in. The dial is very clear, and the glass seems scratch resistant. The bracelet is easily adjustable. It fits my requirements perfectly.First i will say i love the watch, i like the design and its appearance and the digital date display so aesthetically i am very pleased but i only purchased the watch in June 2018 and its now July 2018 and the analogue function keeps stopping and i have to reset it whereas the distal function works perfectly and i find i have no course to get it fixed or replaced as the return period has elapsed in this very short time which is extremely disappointing and frustrating. If anyone from Casio or the supplier reads this please get in touch so we may be able to sort out a solution. Many Thanks
