Use these in running shoes and they work great. Allows for easy sliding on/off and prevents having to deal with untied shoe laces during activity. I haven't used these for running so I can't speak on that but I use them in running shoes and walk daily 5-6 miles. No issues with shoes slipping, it feels like these keep my shoes on nicely. They give the shoe a little different look than normal too and I like that. The available colors and patterns are nice to switch it up a little bit with the shoes. Highly recommend.My son refuses to tie his shoes. He would gladly take a face-plant to the concrete as long as he didn't have to tie his laces... not too sure what that is about. But these, at least, do a great job of keeping his shoe fit to his foot and are great for keeping the lace ends from dragging through piss in school restrooms... I even bought a second pair for my lazy shoes that I keep at work...I really like them, but the end tabs are uncomfortable inside the shoe, I just tuck the extra under the front cross lacing. Also claims there's pressure point reduction, but I have not found that to be true. Still works great.Bought these for a kiddo who is always struggling to keep his shoes tied. They have been great! I will say they were a little on thr smaller side but were still manageable for us. If you are buying them for an older kiddo (over age 8) I would buy adult size and trim them.I have always hated tying shoe laces. I bout a pair of running shoes that came with elastic laces. I knew I would always buy elastic shoe laces for my shoes. However, I never found a pair that were as good as my first pair. Until Caterpy! Hands down the best and I’ve tried plenty. I will buy more.Bought it to make it easier for my son to put on his soccer cleats.We've had them for several weeks and they seem to work alright. Had a little trouble in the beginning getting them to a comfortable spot for my 6 year old where he could still get his shoes on by himself but they wouldn't slip off.I did have an issue where I didn't read close enough. I assumed since he was a kid that the kid length was good but his shoes have 1 more hole than the kids length is supposed to be used for. It worked out for us to just not thread it through the top hole and at least for this pair of shoes, that worked out just fine.I bought some cross-training shoes for my gym which I really like. However, I was having a difficult time finding the ‘just right’ tightness for my laces, and it didn’t seem to be possible with the laces that came with my shoes. So I turned to online shopping to explore some alternatives when I came across the Caterpy laces. I was skeptical as they looked super gimmicky, but the photos and reviews pushed me to give it a shot.They arrived TODAY—the same day I am writing this review—and I am already massively impressed. Not only do my shoes feel comfortably tight and secure, but the laces make it much easier for me to take my shoes of when I intend on taking them off. I thought maybe they would look tacky when I laced them through my shoes but in my opinion I don’t think you can tell unless you’re really taking a look (and even then, function matters most, right?).I included some photos to provide a comparison between the original laces and the Caterpy laces. As someone who did not receive these through a promotional offer or for a free review, I think this was a great investment. As of right now they’re a 5/5 for me. I’ll update this review about a month or two out with their performance over time.Perfect for presents. Has apparently “changed the way he wears shoes forever”.
