Then, put all buns inside the steamer bag and give it a good shake around. Next, take six buns at random and place them on the tray in the middle. Finally, each player must take two buns (make sure they're different colors) and place them in front of them. ROLL THE DICE, MAKE A DEAL At the Nice Buns Buffet, each dice does something different. Here, you share everything with your neighbour—including your dice rolls. Each time you roll the dice, you'll have to split them into two groups . After that, it's time for the player on your left to choose which dice you'll keep...and which ones they'll take for themselves. DINNER IS READY Whenever you collect a set of three matching buns, you can move them over your plate, keeping them safe from the other diners. Remember, the key to a happy time at the Nice Buns buffet is to be clever with your rolls and make your neighbour an offer they can't refuse! The first player to collect three matching sets, wins! Enjoy! Read more SAME GAME, SMALLER BOX We’ve made Nice Buns 50% smaller meaning less emissions and less packaging. It’s also easier to travel with! I lived in China for five years, so when I saw a game about one of my favorite foods, steamed stuffed buns, I had to buy it. You're trying to gather three sets of colored steamed buns on your mat. There are three dice of varied sizes and tasks. On your turn, you roll the three dice and decide how to separate them. You must be strategic here because the person to your left will decide which die/dice they want first. Tasks are completed from smallest to largest die. You may draw, trade, or steal depending on the dice, but beware the fish bun. The fish bun makes your other buns stinky so you cannot place them on your mat. Buns can only be placed on the mat when you have all three of one color and do not have any fish buns. Since you cannot have more than three of any one color buns on your mat, the game becomes more strategic as you draw and steal or trade with other players for the buns you need. It plays fairly quickly and is very portable as the box is not large.I got this game for our February Family Game night. It was a great game for teaching strategy to my children. My kids are 8 and 5 but picked up on the game really quickly. It definitely could be more complex play with adults. The quality of the pieces are great. This game was so easy to learn and so much fun to play. You have 3 dice to roll but you must split them into two groups. The person to your left gets to choose which of the two groups of dice they want. The goal of the game is to collect 3 groups of 3. The game play is about 10-15 mins. Great for before or after dinner.Love this game!!! So fun, adorable, and delicious? Easy to learn but with enough twists and turns and surprise rules that it is never too simple or repetitive (unlike many other cutesy games out there). My friends and I play this all the time now and it always make me hungry for some dim sum afterwards. Also love the design and the thoughtfulness, especially the sturdy pouch for all the pieces when a lot of other games would just give a cheap ziploc bag instead. Could double for a cute purse in a pinch?Such a cute and creative game. My friends and I really liked all the pieces— buns, plates, and dice, etc. It was creative bc person next to you has a say on your turn so you have to be alert and strategize. With that said, pleasant game with a fun mix of strategy and RNG. :) I will play this a lot.Loved this game! Seams simple but you really have to strategize. Can’t wait to add this to the game night rotation! Also love the buns!I love games - but my family gravitates towards the same few (monopoly…) and this is super fun and a little less intense than other games we play. It is the kind of game that doesn’t take forever either!Really enjoyed playing nice buns. I love the design of the game - felt like it had captured quintessential Japanese elegance and style. Clearly a lot of time and thought had gone into it. We picked up the rules pretty quickly and the tactics soon followed. It seems fairly simple but we soon realised that there is a fair amount of skill involved! Love the fact you can watch a video rather than reading the instructions too. Only negative was that it could have been clearer as to whether you could swap or put back white buns. Would definitely recommend.Aim is to get your buns on your plate by matching 3 of the same colour together. But there's a twist. The next player chooses how you will take you go based on the dice you roll. This was a gift that went down well, and I have played it since as well. A creative game, beautifully designed. Complex enough to warrant playing multiple times with getting bored, but simple enough to pick up (the instructions were helpful and clearly explained).I got this for my friends and I to play together after a recommendation from a friend.Super cute game, not too intense. Seemed a bit confusing at first but after we played the first round it made complete sense. Would recommend for sure!!Fun family game! We could only play it properly with 3+ players
