I had one of these before, loved how fast it read, but dropped it rather sharply on the floor, goodbye. I then "punished" myself by getting one of the slower ones, and was continually sorry. That one mercifully did not lasts too long, so back to this style, and I am grateful. It's so nice to pop it in and out and have a reliable reading. When the doctor says "and have you taken your temp?" I can tell her what it is, and that helps both of us decide what to do next.This thermometer takes temperatures and reports it on the screen. I used another digital thermometer to check and the temperature seems to be within reasonable range of the other digital one. I used it orally and also under the armpit. The packaging says it can be used rectally but I'd like to pass on that. I could. But I won't because once I use it rectally, then I don't think I can subsequently use it orally knowing where it had been.It comes in a transparent case and battery was included in the thermometer.Took me a little to figure out when to press the button to turn on. You have to wait for it to clear. It shows the last temperature taken. Just read the instructions. Seems to be pretty accurate. I tested it with another thermometer.I feel like it takes temperature way too fast? I put it in the mouth and like 4 seconds later it beeps a temperature at me. I'm used to the doctors office I guess, where it takes like a minute to read.Very accurate This little thermometer is very inexpensive and extremely accurate and much more accurate than onesis costing 10 times more moneyThis is a good thermometer but I wish it had backlight. Otherwise definitely does the job.The product helps me take my temperature on a daily basis.
